Adobe CC Integration is a Game Changer For Us

Using the CI HUB Connector, designers can just drag and drop files directly from Asset Bank into Adobe!

How WIEHAG Cut Duplicate Files by 40% and Sped Up Creative Workflows with Asset Bank

When Manfred Sperl joined WIEHAG as Marketing Manager, he quickly realised the company's creative assets were scattered and disorganised. “Everything was stored in different structures, across Windows or Apple,” he says. “It became chaos. People left, and nobody knew where the data was. We were spending forever trying to find things.”

The pain points were familiar: duplicated files, inaccessible folders, clunky email chains, and a heavy reliance on IT for permissions. “We wanted to get rid of the mess,” Manfred says. “We needed a system, and we needed everything to be searchable.”

Having used Asset Bank successfully at a previous company, he knew it was the right solution to bring order to WIEHAG’s archives and set the business up for scalable, streamlined workflows.

The Solution: From Chaos to Clarity with Asset Bank & Adobe CC Integration

Implementing Asset Bank helped WIEHAG do a full reset. “We restructured everything. We reorganised our folder structure, added keywords, and reduced duplicated assets by 40%,” Manfred says. “Now, even new employees or external colleagues can find everything they need, quickly.”

The built-in tools for sharing and collaboration were a big upgrade. Instead of managing file access through complex email chains and IT support, teams now send direct links to collections of files from within Asset Bank.

Admins are now the masters of their own domains and no longer have to wait on IT to unlock folders or fix access.

But one of the most impactful changes came with the Adobe Creative Cloud integration, using the CI HUB Connector.

“Before, I had to download files and then import them into Adobe programs,” says Manfred. “Now I can just work in Adobe and drag and drop directly from Asset Bank. I don’t even need to leave the program.”

The CI HUB Connector means integration works both ways. Creatives can also upload assets from Adobe back into Asset Bank folders without switching tools. “It’s a much easier, faster workflow,” Manfred adds.

“From a creative point of view, it’s a must-have.”

WIEHAG also collaborates closely with external partners, who now upload files directly into Asset Bank. An internal approval process makes sure assets are correctly tagged and ready for use. “There are so many upload and download steps that we’ve completely removed,” Manfred explains.

The Impact: Faster Workflows, Lower Costs, and Teams that Stay in Sync

Asset Bank has significantly improved how WIEHAG's internal teams work together.

Processes are now much more streamlined, there’s less duplication, and there are far fewer manual steps that used to slow everything down.

The Adobe Creative Cloud integration (via the CI HUB Connector) has played a major role in this transformation. By letting creative teams drag and drop files directly into Adobe programs and upload finished work straight back into Asset Bank, WIEHAG has reduced unnecessary downloads, repetitive storage steps, and tool-switching frustration.

“We used to have to download everything before using it,” says Manfred. “Now, we just work in Adobe and pull in what we need straight from Asset Bank. It's faster and easier."

That boost in efficiency has real results: Manfred estimates the integration alone has given creative teams at least 10% of their time back. That’s half a day a week!

Meanwhile, the wider organisation is also benefiting. Teams across departments, from marketing to sales, now work from a single source of truth without relying on IT or sending messy email chains.

Before, if teams wanted to share new images, they had to send emails, create folder links, and manage access through IT support.

“Now we can just send links from Asset Bank directly, and set the right permissions ourselves,” Manfred explains. “It makes everything easier.”

The sales team, in particular, has seen big improvements, especially while working on the road.

“They used to have to log into a VPN to get the data,” Manfred says. “That made everything more complicated, especially when travelling. Now they just log in to Asset Bank from wherever they are and get what they need instantly.”

Perhaps most significantly, WIEHAG has drastically cut down on duplicate files. “We found that around 40% of our data was saved twice,” Manfred notes. “Now that we’re using Asset Bank, we’ve reduced that completely. That’s a huge improvement in data management and storage.”

By ditching the faff of manual processes and clunky workarounds, Asset Bank has brought WIEHAG’s teams together under one easy, searchable roof, making collaboration smoother, workflows faster, and file chaos a thing of the past.

Looking Ahead: Growing Usage Across Teams, at the Right Price Point

Right now, WIEHAG plans to continue using Asset Bank as it is, but further interest is growing. “Since the feedback in the company is so positive, I expect more teams will want to use it,” says Manfred. “We’ll likely create groups so they can use it in their own bubble.”

And when it comes to value for money, Asset Bank hits the sweet spot.

“There are more expensive tools that are overly complicated and don’t perform at the same level. And there are cheaper tools, but then you just have a basic cloud. Asset Bank is right in the middle. The value is perfect for what we get.”

For Manfred, the decision to go with Asset Bank was a no-brainer.

“I looked at different tools. Most lacked the functionality or structure. With Asset Bank, the user experience is much better. It’s just a solid tool, especially if you want to take a big step forward in how you manage your assets.”
