How do I update my Asset Bank licence?

If you have purchased an upgrade to your licence, such as additional users and features, or you need to update the licence to allow an upgrade to the Asset Bank application, then we will send you a new license.lic file.

Simply replace the existing file with the new one.

The file is located on the following path on your server:


were [tomcat] is the directory where Tomcat is installed.

  • On Windows, this is usually C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat X
  • On Linux, this could be /var/lib/tomcatX, /usr/share/tomcatX,
  • On OSX, if you installed via MacPorts, it will be /opt/local/share/java/tomcatX

[Where X is the Tomcat version number].

You will need to restart the Tomcat service for the new licence to take effect.
