I'm trying to do a batch/bulk update, but the system is telling me that some of the assets are locked.

The system only allows one user to update any given asset at a time, and therefore will lock the assets while they are being updated in either a batch or bulk update. The user will then need to 'finish with this batch' to release the assets to other users.

If you are trying to update assets and receive a warning telling you that they are locked, you will either need to wait until the user has finished with the batch and logged out, or until the session time has expired (defaulted at 45 minutes).
