Sharing Lightboxes

You can share a Lightbox with particular users by clicking on the ‘share' link next to the appropriate Lightbox on the Manage Lightboxes page:

This will show a page listing the users sharing the lightbox, providing links to allow the listed users to edit the shared lightbox, and to remove them from the list. More users can be added by clicking the ‘Add users' link. Clicking this will show a page similar to the Find Users page, allowing users to be searched for. Once found, users can be added to the sharing list by clicking the 'Add...' button with their checkboxes selected. You can also decide whether you'd like the shared user to be able to add items to the shared Lightbox by ticking the ‘Added users can edit the Lightbox' tickbox when adding the user.

Once a Lightbox is shared with a user, they will be able to see it in their Lightbox list on the Manage Lightboxes page. They can rename the shared Lightbox by giving it an 'alias'. They can also remove the Lightbox from their list if they want.

Once selected, a shared Lightbox works like a regular one, except that the user will only be able to add assets if they've been given edit permission on the Lightbox, and will only be able to remove assets that they have added. Users are only be able to see/download assets where they have permission to do so, even if the Lightbox is shared.

Other User's Lightboxes

If your Asset Bank has been set up to allow it, and there are public lightboxes available you will see an Other Users' Lightboxes tab next to the Manage Lightbox tab. Click this to view other user's lightboxes
