If you are using a version of Asset Bank 3.89 or later, you will have the option to bulk upload using a java applet contained within the browser window (meaning no FTP client is necessary).

If the applet is present in your version, you will see it load on the initial Start Import page:

Click on the applet to activate it and then click ‘Browse' to browse your local machine for assets.
Select as many as required and click ‘Upload'. Once the assets have uploaded, you can click ‘Next' to proceed to enter your metadata for the assets.

As above, enter the metadata that will be applied to ALL of the assets that are imported. It is recommended that they are given the Metadata Status 'Incomplete' so that you can use the 'Batch update' facility later to enter specific metadata for each asset.

When you click 'Start import' the import process will begin and you will see a page showing the progress of the import. You can leave this page (for example to visit other areas of the Asset Bank) and come back to it later by clicking 'Bulk upload' in the menu.
